1. Creating a lead

You can track potential customers and sales with leads. Leads can be created and managed on the "Offers" section. Click  the "+Lead" button to start creating a lead.

On the new window you can make the following definitions for the lead:

  • Customer: You can choose an existing customer or create a new customer. If you create a new customer, the customer is saved also to Koho. The customer can be found on the "Prospects" section.
  • Category of the lead: On the right side of the customer selection you can select the category of the lead. Lead categories are covered in more detail in this article: 5.4.2 Leads tab.
  • Valid until: If necessary, you can define until which date the lead is valid. This field can also be left empty.
  • Seller: As a default, seller is the employee who created the lead. From the menu you can choose another seller.
  • Estimate € and Estimate €/mo: In these fields you can save the estimated value of the potential sales, if necessary.
  • Lead name: A descriptive name for the lead.
  • Comment: A more detailed description of the lead.

Finally save the lead. After saving you can see the lead on the "Leads" tab under the selected category. Read more about the "Leads" tab from this article: 5.4.2 Leads tab. In addition, leads are shown on the "Offers" section on the "All" tab.

2. Editing, deleting, rejecting a lead and turning a lead into an offer

Start by searching the desired lead on the "Leads" tab. Click on top of the lead, and the lead opens into a new window.

On the preview window you can edit, delete or reject the lead or turn the lead into an offer. If you edit the lead, remember to save the changes. Deleting a lead removes it completely from Koho and it is no longer visible in reporting whereas rejecting a lead removes the lead from the "Leads" tab but it can still be seen in reporting.

By clicking the "+Offer" button you can turn the lead into an offer. Customer, name of the lead and due date are transferred from the lead to the offer. Creating offers is covered in more detail in this article: 5.1.1 Creating an offer. Note that if the lead has been turned into an offer, it is no longer visible on the "Leads" tab.
